Haustmót Ármanns with successful SH swimmers
A great start of the season: 80 SH-swimmers raced last weekend in Reykjavík and showed good race spirit, nice improvements in swimming technique and tactic.
All SH results are here as a pdf-file, and below are some highlights:
- Over 70 swimmers could improve their personal best times already now in the early season. All sverðfiskar, höfrungar and háhyrningar improved at least in one event, most swimmers even in all their races.
- Jóhanna Elín Guðmundsdóttir, Predrag Milos, Steingerður Haulsdóttir and Katarína Róbertsdóttir qualified already for the Nordic Championships in December in Finland.
- Birnir Freyr Hálfdánarsson improved three Icelandic sveinamet, as well as 6 Hafnarfjarðar sveinamet. Daði Björnsson improved 3 new Hfn-drengjamet.
- 32 gold, 23 silver and 26 bronze medals were collected.
Thanks to all the supporters and all parents who acted as referees - and disqualifcations were very rare considering the age of our youngest swimmers, who tried very good in for some their first "real" meeting.
