The Icelandic swimmers always won the medal table in the Small Nation Games, with one exception: 2015 was the first year Iceland placed second behind Luxembourg (16 gold for Luxembourg, 10 for Iceland). The most titles (23) were won 1993 in Malta.

The swimmers have collected until this year impressive 257 gold, 175 silver and 142 bronze - the next nation (LUX) comes to 109 - 121 - 94.

Örn Arnason is the most successful Icelandic swimmer in the history of the Small Nation Games under all nations. He won 18 individual titles.
