Ólafur Sigurðsson is just on his way to the capitol of Georgia, where he will race in the EYOF - the European Youth Olympic Festival.
This is his first appearance on the international scene as a member of the Icelandic Youth National team.
His team mate Stefanía Sigurþórsdóttir and Youth national coach Ragnheiður Rúnólfsdóttir complete the small Icelandic team in Georgia.
They prepared with the whole Icelandic Youth Olympic team several days in Sweden and are heading now to the most Eastern part of Europe.
The competition will begin on Monday and runs for 5 days.
Ólafur will race in 200, 400 and 1500m skriðsund. He qualified in April in ÍM over his major race, the 1500m skriðsund.
