Doha, QAT: HM With 8 Icelandic Swimmers: Best Time For Davíð, 19. Place For Hrafnhildur and 1 National Record 03.12.2014
The Short Course World Championships were started in Doha, QAT, with very good performances of all Icelandic swimmers, 3 of them from Hafnarfjörður.
The best result for the Icelandic team established Hrafnhildur Lúthersdóttir so close to her own National record: she swum 0.30.79, placed 19th, just 8/100s away from the next round of semi-finals.
Davíð Hildiberg Aðalsteinsson improved with huge 8/10s his 100m backstroke time in now 0.54.04 and placed 39th.
The 4x100m skriðsund men's relay established a new Icelandic record in 3.22.48 with Davíð Hildiberg and Kolbeinn Hrafnkelsson, completed with Kristófer Sigurðsson and Kristinn þórarinsson.
The relay changes Kristinn to Kolbeinn (0.03) and from Kolbeinn to Davíð (0.16) were under fastest of all, which placed them 16th of all.

Kristófer Sigurðsson had started the day with a very good time of 1.50.04 in 200m skriðsund, completed from Eygló Ósk Gústafsdóttir, who raced to a very good 23rd rank in 100m backstroke in 0.59.06, also very close to her own National record. Kristinn þórarinsson finished over the same distance in a very good 0.54.68.
