During IMOC Aron Örn attacked the 50 seconds barrier over 100m freestyle, using his great shape, he showed one week earlier on long course at ÍM 50.
He succeeded with fabulous 0.49.78, which makes him Iceland´s second fastest swimmer behind Örn Arnarson, and the fastest swimmer of this season, after his wins of 50 and 100m freestyle on 25m and 50m ÍM.
Only three Icelandic swimmers have cracked this 50 seconds barrier: Örn Arnarson (0.48.57 on 13.12.2002, EM in Riesa, GER) and many other times after that, Orri Freyr Guðmundsson (0.49.99 - HM 2012 in Istanbul, TUR), and now Aron Örn.
