A/UMÍ 2015 í Akureyri: 154 best times, 38 gold, 36 silver and 26 bronze 29.06.2015
A/UMÍ in Akureyri finished successful for the large SH-team. 154 new personal best times were set, 38 gold-, 36 silver- and 26 bronze medals were collected.

A warm and sunny, but windy weekend saw an exciting Aldursflokka- og Unglingameistaramót Íslands in Akureyri. 45 swimmers from SH played a big role under all 330 participants of 17 teams.
With a big support of the parents the swimmers managed to reach their peak of the season and celebrated a festival of best times.
Nearly all swimmers could improve their old marks, some even more than 120%.
5 relays were won, and 33 individual races were awarded with gold. 36 silver and 26 Bronze medals complete the metal count.

Ólafur Sigurðsson was the most successful SH-swimmer with 6 wins and the point highest performance of the SH team (654 FINA points for 800m skriðsund).
Bára Kristín Björgvinsdóttir performed even better under the women with 663 points for 400m skriðsund. She collected 3 gold and 3 silver medals.
Katarína Róbertsdóttir was most successful with winning 5 gold medals alone.

It is remarkable that from the beginning on Thursday morning until the end on Sunday evening the high performances never stopped. Nobody showed tiredness or lack of concentration up to the last minute! The last event over 200m skriðsund was just amazing with the experience of so many personal bests and that racing attitude.

Coaches and swimmers want to thank the parents, who watch over and supported the team during all those days. A big thank to our referees as well - without all of your support those performances would not be possible.

...and congratulations to all swimmers - the whole team performed excellent in and at the pool deck.
