CIJ Meet Luxembourg: SH swimmers "flying" to best times and finals 12.05.2015
And here the last news from the international junior meeting in Luxembourg:
More final qualifications, more medals and many more personal best times on the last day of the CIJ-Meet in Luxembourg:
Harpa won silver in 200m skrið, Ólafur Sigurðsson won bronze in 200m skrið, like Katarína in 100m bak and Sunna in 200m bringa.

The morning began early with 200m skriðsund, and the swimmers were present and fit on the minute. All SH-ingar raced fabulous and improved their personal best times with several seconds. It was just fun to see them all leading and winning their heats with several body-lengths.
The meet continued with 100m bak, 200 bringa, 100 flug and 200m fjór.

To the finals in the afternoon advanced in 200m skriðsund: Jón Tumi Dagsson, Harpa Ingþórsdóttir and Ólafur Sigurðsson; Katarína Róbertsdóttir in 100m baksund, Sunna Svanlaug Vilhjálmsdóttir and Natalia Cecylia Wojdat in 200m bringa, Ólafur again in 100m flugsund and María Fanney Kristjánsdóttir in 200m fjórsund.

Eyrún Agla Friðriksdóttir, Jón Tumi Dagsson, Jökull Ýmir Guðmundsson and Kári Sölvi Andersson Nielsen were those athletes, who could improve their former personal best times in each and every event (100%). The average improvement of best times for the whole team was 108%.

The team celebrated the competition with a nice dinner in an Italian restaurant, where many tried also new tastes and starters, for example sniglar and skeljar - and some very sweet deserts (I better don´t tell...).

...next CIJ meet in May 2016 :)
