Mare Nostrum Tour: First Stop Canet-en-Roussillon 08.06.2011
5 SH-swimmers are part of the 10-head National Team participating in the international swimming Tour of Mare Nostrum.
The first step is the 24th Meeting International de Natation in Canet-en-Roussillon, in the south of France.
This meeting is one of the highest level in the world with national caliber swimmers of Australia, China, USA, South Africa, Japan and so on.

After the heats of the first session Hrafnhildur Lúthersdóttir proceeded to the finals over 50 (0.32.54) and 200m bringusund (2.34.20).
Orri Freyr Guðmundsson swum close to his best time in 50m skriðsund (0.24.24), while Snjólaug Tinna Hansdóttir improved her best time in this event (0.27.85) and swam great in 100m flug (1.04.22).
Ingibjörg Kristín Jónsdóttir competed in 50m skrið (0.27.26) and 100m flugsund (a little too long under water) as well, while Hrafn Traustason tried the 200m bringusund (2.30.11).
